As practitioners of art, we are implicated in the making of multiple histories. The following pieces explore the intimacies of artmaking, as the basis from which sustainable and equitable worlds emerge. We become as we make; we make as we become. Beyond the veneer of finished products designed to sell and proliferate, are acts of sociality and care between artists and materials. The Artist’s Studio begins and swims with the premise that intimacies and “ordinary affects” (Kathleen Stewart) are disruptive and generative. We offer alternative modes of (well-)being and knowledge.

NOW I SEE YOU

Traces from our corporeal interactions with the walls. Evidentiary yet also autotelic. Therefore, constitutive of the creative practice. Movements, limbs, hands, words, and musings made sublime.
