Circumnutation is the circular movement of a growing plant. These circular movements increase the chance that the plant will come into contact with a support structure. If support is not immediately found, a tendril will circumnutate towards a light stimulus. After many attempts to reach a support structure and one is not found, the tendril will eventually fall to the ground.


I didn't fall today. Though you are states away and we are separated by divergent weather patterns, your stake knew how to root firmly into my ground. My torso remained erect, with just enough give for me to weave into a gorgeous ellipse today.
